Nephen - SoGo

Our latest edition to the Wild Life team Nephen (pronounced nef-en) has had 7 years experience in the world of hair and strives for all the experience he can. Focusing on technical cutting he is great with men’s and women’s styles. He also can whip out a pretty mean blow dry ensuring you will always look your best at important functions. Catch up on his latest exploits as he desperately tries to give me something more interesting to write about him.

Kim – Origin

HAIR EXPO Australian Apprentice of the Year 2011, Kim comes from a family of hairdressers and the passion for hair is in her blood! Extensively trained by our Wild Life Education Team, you are sure to get an excellent hair cut from Kim.

Caitlin – Origin

What can we say, Caitlin cuts Jayne Wild’s hair!!! Caitlin was a 2011 Trendzoom finalist. She is just fabulous!

Vince – Origin

Joining the Wild Life Team after extensive experience in the UK, Vince is Friendly and relaxed, ready to listen to what his clients want. Gaining awesome cutting results! While using his talent to achieve the best, Vince is always smiling and and enjoys a laugh. He is a very enthusiastic member of our team.

Nicola commenced her training with us graduating to the floor, and after a stint back over in her homeland has rejoined us! We are very happy to welcome her back and love her hairdressing skills!Jen – OriginJen  – OriginComing from New Zealand Jen brings with her a wealth of experience! She started hairdressing in 2007 and really knows her stuff.

Brendan – Origin

Another of Wild Life’s home grown talents Brendan is one of life’s true gentlemen. Brendan began working at Wild Life in the year 2000 and is technical in his craft and gifted in his client care. Brendan is an integral member of our education and creative teams. Bren is a regular at Fashion Week and an industry educator.

Dave joined us after returning from three years working overseas. Based in Canada he worked as an educator for companies such as Aveda and within his salon group. A long time Friend of the Wild Life team since his days working at Noddy’s on King we are very happy to have Dave as part of our team. A dedicated cutter he has over thirteen years experience in hair. Having lost a bet in a tennis match with Gary, Dave is now locked into to Wild Life for some time.

Ali – SoGo

Ali started at Wild Life as a young hairdresser and progressed as only the special ones do. Three times Australian Apprentice of the Year and FAME team member Ali’s talents out grew Australia. She spent three years in London working for Martyn Gayle and featured as a member of the ghd Directive. She has worked at fashion week in London, New York and Sydney for designers such as Zac Possen, Toni Maticevski and Frost French. Her work also featured in ghd’s global TVC and magazine campaigns. In 2008 Ali marked her return to Australia as a finalist in three categories at the Hair Expo Australian Hairdressing Awards. Ali has since won New CReative Force at Hair Expo and is enjoying watching the staff at SoGo win more awards.

Siobhan adds to Jayne’s vast experience with thirty years in hairdressing. After working throughout Australia, Siobhan has spent the last 14 years as Wild Life’s leading stylist. Skilled and experienced Siobhan offers maturity and excellence with the broadest range of traditional and modern techniques. Due to demand it is advised that clients book at least two weeks in advance.

Jayne Wild is the wild in Wild Life. With over 30 years experience both here and in London Jayne instills passion and excellence in the salon. Hair Expo 2011, 2008 & 2004 Australian Hairdressing Awards Australian Hairdresser of the Year, 2003 NSW Hairdresser of the Year and ghd Australian Ambassor Jayne is recognised as one of this country’s leading hairdressers. Jayne’s work has included directing at fashion week for Nicola Finetti, Marnie Skillings, Lover, Rebecca Dawson and Toni Maticevski in New York. She has appeared on Sunrise, Mornings with Kerry Anne and Australia’s Next Top Model. Appointments with Jayne are often very hard to come by but you can be confident that her vision and verve runs deep through the salon staff.

Shirley – Origin

Trained under the watchful eye of three time Australian Colourist of the Year Dieter Mersmann, Shirley is excelling in her career.

Lisa completed her training and became a colourist at Wild Life, then went on an American adventure and has thankfully returned to join our team again! Friendly and enthusiastic, Lisa will give you a great colour with a professional approach.

Heather – Origin

Heather is the backbone our colour team. Originally from “Newie” Heather has grown as part of the team since she us in 2005. Well versed technically in Goldwell colour with a caring approach to clients. We love Heather!

Davina has vast experience, having worked in both Sydney and Melbourne. She has been highly trained in colour and has worked on both Sydney and New Zealand Fashion Weeks. Davina is stylish and sophisticated, all her clients love her work!

Dieter Mersmann – Origin

As head colour technician at Wild Life and three times Australian Colour Technician of the Year 2004, 2007 and 2008 Dieter possesses technical knowledge without par in the industry. As a International Educator for Goldwell Dieter develops new techniques that are employed throughout the world. With his vast experience Dieter specialises in colour correction, directional colour work and is “the master of blonde”. He also oversees the work of the other technicians guaranteeing Wild Life’s technical work across the whole team.

Hand picked by Jayne and Ali to lead the colour department at SoGo. With 11 years experience in colour working in some of Sydney’s leading salons Jemima is a true professional. Jemima is Goldwell Colour Ambassador for NSW so be sure to feel comfort in her technical knowledge. Picking up a judge’s recognition at Hair Expo for her amazing colour work and striving for more this year, Jemima is the perfect colourist combining client, creative and technical skills to give unmatched service.
